Many didn’t expect a modest Manitoban to one day become a shapeshifting sonic astronaut – yet despite any doubts, Tyler Del Pino has landed. He emerged Out of a Clear Blue Sky with an increasingly Trews-esque, rock-leaning set, flickering with country and Americana, flanked by propulsive horns, and a rebellious spirit taking notes from Sam Fender and Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band.

Del Pino was nominated for the 2022 Music Production Award (London, UK) and Album of the Year (In The End) and Male Artist of the Year from the 2021 MCMA Awards.

Wolf Willow

Wolf Willow is a twelve-piece band that sounds like what would happen “if Dick Dale had joined Loretta Lynn’s band and made a wall of sound album inside the Grand Ole Opry.” Soul of Slippery Butte, their new full length album released in Fall 2024, is the much-anticipated follow up to 2021’s critically praised Old Guitars & Shooting Stars. Old Guitars dove deep into Wolf Willow’s sensitive side—layered with lush strings and horns, the sweet orchestra sound defined this album and era of the band. Soul of Slippery Butte takes the best of Old Guitars, swaps the sensitivity for swagger, and combines pop-adjacent arrangements with compelling stories and timeless melodies.

Jay Pollmann

Born in the gritty steel town of Hamilton Ontario and raised in the fields of Haldimand County, Jay Pollmann has intertwined the rural/ urban musical divide fusing folk, roots and blues into a sound he describes as ‘foot stompin’ rootsy blues’.

Sharptail
