Embracing Change: The Future of the Napatāk Ramble
Change is Inevitable:
As we all know, change is an unavoidable part of life, and the Napatāk Ramble has seen its share of significant transformations through the years. To keep you in the loop, here’s a recap of recent developments since the 2023 Napatāk Ramble:
At the end of August, Colin and Samantha Jolly, the original hosts of the Napatāk Ramble, passed the torch by selling their property at Potatoe Lake and relocating out east. But here’s the exciting news – the property has found new stewards who are eager to carry on the tradition by hosting the festival on their land.
The Napatāk Ramble has always been a dynamic event, evolving from its humble beginnings in Colin and Sam’s Napatāk backyard, to the move to Rabbit Creek, a virtual edition in 2020 due to the pandemic, and the triumphant return to live music in August 2021 at its current home in Potatoe Lake. Throughout this journey, the formation of the Napatāk Ramble Music & Arts Inc. as a not-for-profit organization and the construction of a permanent stage have only contributed to its growth and development.
What Does This Mean for the Ramble Going Forward:
Now, you might be wondering, what’s next for the Napatāk Ramble? Well, let us assure you, the show will go on! The organization boasts a dedicated board committed to ensuring the festival’s vibrant future. We have received a signed land use agreement from the new landowners, making the transition seamless and secure. Our commitment extends to refining our bylaws and policies, focused on the organization’s strategic plan to ensure our foundation is even more resilient. We will continue to honour the generosity of our donors, volunteers, and sponsors by providing a platform for our community to immerse themselves in the world of arts. The excitement is palpable, as we are already hard at work securing acts for the 2024 Napatāk Ramble.
Change is not a roadblock; it is a stepping stone to progress. The Napatāk Ramble Music & Arts Inc. is embracing change with enthusiasm and determination, ensuring that the legacy of this beloved festival remains as vibrant as ever. Thank you for being a part of this journey with us, and get ready for more incredible Ramble experiences to come!
